Recording birdsong and seascapes at Slapton Ley
I was invited to take part in a field studies trip with the University of Leicester’s Zoology degree group to learn more about their research projects at Slapton Ley, Devon in 2015. This presented a great opportunity to record birdsong in a variety of habitats across the area and to inspire new artwork.

The playlist has a selection of recordings from the dawn chorus in ancient woodlands and reed beds, to recording by the fresh water lake and using a pair of hydrophones in the sea.
