Avian Abstracts

A collection of colour-coded mixed media works on paper, panel and canvas created between 2022 - 2024.

The starting point for each artwork is based on extensive research into an individual bird species, to explore and interpret its colouring, habitat, song, nest design, egg pattern, behaviour, conservation status and to visualise the negative effects of climate change and habitat destruction on declining population numbers.
