Walk With Me
In collaboration with Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery, 2009
A site-specific binaural audio walk, commissioned for the grounds of Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery. The artist shares stories from the past and present by weaving together historical facts with her own observations to create an audio tour with a difference.
Lucy spent almost a year gathering sound recordings from the grounds of the castle, the caves, galleries and cafe to collect hundreds of hours of audio to edit together into a sound walk. Headphones and mp3 players were available to visitors during spring 2009.
A catalogue with an essay by Joanne Lee, artist, writer and Lecturer in Fine Art; was commissioned to offer a contemporary insight into the idea of a modern audio tour guide.
